EIGHT FIRE ENGINES ATTEND TUESDAY MORNING CASH & CARRY FIRE
At 8.03am on Tuesday, March 27, eight fire engines from across Greater Manchester were mobilised to a fire involving a single-storey warehouse building in Ohio Avenue, Salford.

The building, used as a cash and carry (Batleys), measures 100m x 50m and was equipped with a sprinkler system which activated to prevent the fire from spreading.

Firefighters tackled the blaze with eight breathing apparatus, two hose reels and one jet.

The fire is now out, the building was ventilated to clear the heavy smoke logging.
