GP AND PHARMACY AVAILABILITY ON MAY BANK HOLIDAYS
Salford residents are advised that GP practices will be closed on Monday 7 May and on Monday 28 May for the May bank holidays.

Anyone facing any non-emergency medical problems on these days should, in the first instance, call NHS 111.

The 111 telephone number is fast, easy and takes callers through to a highly-trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and direct you to the best medical care.

In addition to the 111 service, a small number of pharmacists in Salford will be open on each of these days.

Your local pharmacy is the place to go to get any prescription medicines and clinical advice for minor health concerns. As well as helping with common illnesses – like sore throats, coughs, colds, tummy troubles and aches and pains – they provide advice on over-the-counter medicines.
